Skateboard Park
The Greenwich Skateboard Co-operative were offered the opportunity to site a skateboard park in Maryon Park, as the council are planning to move the children’s playground near to the main entrance in Maryon Road. The Skateboard Co-op turned this site down and the council offered Barrier Gardens as an alternative.
The Friends of Maryon and Maryon Wilson Parks welcomed the siting of the Skateboard Park in Maryon Park, on the established play/sports area, but have reservations about building over the landscaped Green Chain Walk green space in Barrier Gardens.
The Friends support Ashleigh in her search for a Skateboard park but question if Barrier Gardens, landscaped wooded grassland, is the right place.
