Write a Letter

A letter is great way to express to your local councilors and/or MP how unhappy you are about the proposed closure of the animal care centre.

Don’t forget to ADD IN YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS to the top of the letter so that your Councilors/MP knows you live in their ward/constituency.

If you are not sure of your local ward/councilors then you can look it up by providing your street name here or click on this map of wards.

All the councilors can be written to at the main town hall address – Town Hall, Wellington Street, Woolwich, SE18 6PW.

The MP for Greenwich & Woolwich is Nick Raynsford and if you live in his constituency then write to him at the House of Commons – House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA

* Please be polite! Don’t give your Councillors/MP any excuse for not responding to you.

* Ensure that your message is clear and concise.

* Councilors & MPs are public servants elected to work for us, so we have a right to ask them questions, act in our interests and to know what they are doing.

You can start with this template but try and personalise it for greater effect.
